I guess this is my first blog, thanks to Dave Nota. Which by the way I am soooo proud of! Miss you--- 2008 is almost over and I'm starting the new year with change once again. I recently finished my boot-camp schooling to become a SCUBA diving instructor, and took my adventures to Key West.
First thing that i notice is that I don't really fit in here, which is ok! I'm getting used to the men in cowprint thongs, crazy fishermen and loud tourists. I'm here to dive and make new memories so bring on the crazies..
Second is that Key West is so expensive! I found cheap rent here which is 600 dollars :( And I have two roommates that I have never met before today. But for guys, they are at least clean and have giant flatscreen tvs. I haven't watched TV in so long so i'm looking forward to some good movie time. My new room is painted gross "salmon" color because my landlord is 80 something but nothing is to big for Home Depot down the street!
As for my new job, i'm getting used to it. I have been a waitress for 10 years now, through college and my travels, so i definately have to get used to working with a small team instead of a cage of monkeys who drink a lot. My boss is really nice and has been in the diving business for 40 years. His wife, my other boss, hates my piercings haha. But overall, they're really nice. My manager, Megan, is really sarcastic which reminds me of home and Erin is nuts! Which also reminds me of home :) And Zach seems that he's a recovering stoner. Really.
So, so far so good. I leave for Boston the 22nd and I'm counting down the days because I miss home sooooo much. Till then everyone have a great Xmas! Much love....
